Thankful Thursday!

The BFF likes to write "Thankful Thursday" blogs, so I am hopping on that bandwagon because there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for, but I'm particularly thankful today! The list begins:

-SNOW! It has seriously snowed all day and has been absolutely LOVELY. It's been a winter wonderland here in Fort Worth and has made me super happy!

-Merrells. Seriously. My feet would have been SOAKED if I didn't have these wonderful all-weather shoes. Plus they're super comfy.

-An administrative minister who understands the perils of a Houston girl driving in the snow. I did go into work today, but as the day progressed and it just got colder, Richard knew that we probably shouldn't stay at work for long. Clint and I got some things done at the office and then left about noon. Thank you Richard!

-A funny little dog. Phoebe cracks me up. She is NOT thankful for the snow. In fact, she HATES it as far as I can tell. When I took her outside this morning, she wouldn't get in the snow-covered grass, so I kind of had to toss her out there. She bounded back to the (equally) snow-covered sidewalk. And then peed on the sidewalk. Remember not to eat yellow snow, peeps.

-My wood-burning fireplace. Even though I was skeptical of it actually snowing yesterday, I had to foresight to grab some wood and starter logs at the grocery store yesterday. Thank goodness I did! It's been awful cozy in my apartment this afternoon.

-Scones! And the ability to make them! The BFF made the PioneerWoman's scones earlier this week and raved about them. So I decided to make them today! Haven't tried them yet, but I'm excited to!

-Friends to share meals with. I'm making the Pioneer Woman's chicken spaghetti tonight for some friends. I love to cook and be able to share it with someone. And 4 or 5 someones is even better! I haven't made chicken spaghetti in a LOOOONG time, and I've never made this particular recipe before, but PDub has yet to lead me astray.

-My mom. She sent me a sweet Valentine's card and I displayed it! I miss her a lot and hope I can get a chance to go visit my family soon.

-The BFF. She sent me the most fantastic Valentine's package, and I can't wait to watch the movie she sent me!

-A Heavenly Father who has given me all of these blessings!
