The Terrible Horrible No-Good Very Bad Week (and then a GREAT weekend!)

So I had a stinky week. Like one of the stinkiest of all the weeks I've ever had.

Not being called back for Beauty and the Beast and then not being cast in Romeo and Juliet (which by the way... I'm still stung from that) plus a lot of stuff that in all actuality would not have been as big of a deal if it hadn't all happened at once. It was one of those weeks where you feel a little bit like you're drowning and every time you get a breath of fresh air, a big wave crashes over you.

So about Tuesday, things weren't getting any better so I decided to take a road trip. To the Bff!

So on Thursday I finished work and then drove to Abilene just in time for dinner and LOST (which HOLY MOLEY!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING!?)! We watched it at Deanna's new friend's house which was great because her friend happened to be roommates with my friend Andy, who I hadn't seen in ages. Dee and I ended up staying till past midnight while a big group of people played poker (we didn't play because we didn't have any money). I got to talk to Andy for the first time in about a year which was way fun.

Friday we slept in and then lounged around for a bit. Then we walked to campus and I bought a new ACU alumni sticker for the back of my car and an AWESOME pair of sweatpants that say ACU down the leg. So fun. I also went by the Wpac and got to have a nice chat with Jonathan Bragg, who I miss from our fun summer at Bammel. Then Dee and I saw Vantage Point-which was a great movie (and um, has Matthew Fox in it). Great film, I totally recommend it! The rest of the evening we watched 24 and Friends and ate.

Saturday we slept in again, watched more Friends (man, nothing has changed since college...), and then played on the trampoline! It was great to play in the sun for the first time in ages! We rounded out the day by making dinner (Chinese chicken salad) and then I got to meet her missionary team to Chile! Who are all great!

Overall, I was SO blessed by this weekend. I finally feel like I'm out of the water completely and totally ready to take on the rest of the week (especially with Soul Link this weekend!) and the rest of this semester!

Dee and our awesome ACU pants!!

Handstand!

Dee Jumping!
Remember that time I was a cheerleader (and Dee thought I was a snob)?

I'm glad to hear that the waves have died down. It looks as though some sunshine and being a little girl again has helped. It seems like God whispers this help into my hears when the days become dark!

We're ready for fun this weekend!
