This week has continued to be a huge blessing! The speakers are incredible (Clinto did an AWESOME job on Monday night), the worship rocks, and all the teens have really bonded together.
Some really great things have been said BY our teens and ABOUT our teens. Bridget Glass asked me on Tuesday morning if we were planning on coming back to Pine Springs next year. I messed with her a little bit (I told her no, that Clint and I HATED this camp- I know, I'm mean...) and her face IMMEDIATELY fell. She looked so sad! I quickly took back my answer and said that of COURSE we were coming back next year! She was thrilled.
One of the sponsors from another church told me that three of our boys (Albert, Xavier, and Joel) were absolutely WONDERFUL. She talked about how polite and kind they were. About how they had such good attitudes about everything. She literally told me story after story about how awesome they were. How wonderful to hear!
Parents, you'll be glad to know that all of the Altamesa girls have taught the rest of the campers Kumcha. I watched as our girls and several other teens from various other churches play the rowdiest game of Kumcha EVER! It was hysterical! As I watched them all play, the head counselor of Pine Springs (Michelle), came up to me and couldn't tell me enough amazing things about our teens.
They are having the best time ever! Even in hardship (Clint and I made the whole camp play Egg Duck Duck Goose yesterday- Ashley B. was COVERED in raw egg), and even in not the best weather situations (it's been VERY cold all week- especially at night)- they have been positive. They are learning so much about the Kingdom of Christ and are growing in their own relationship with Him.
Continue to pray.
Blessings!
