Torrential Downpours and Marathon Shopping Trips: Day Two of Mission Trip

Yeah.

That's the food for this week.

We're feeding 19 teenagers and 3 adults! TEENAGERS EAT A LOT.

Particularly the boys.

When we left the store we had three shopping carts of food. And we still need to go get more bottles of water.

I took Taylor McDoogal with me this morning. We left at 7:30am to make the trek from Crystal Beach to Beaumont. Why Beaumont? Because it's cheaper than Galveston and the trip was a lot shorter without a ferry boat ride. According to the lady from the First Baptist Church of Crystal Beach at least.

So the two of us drove over an hour into Beaumont in TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. Seriously. It was a little scary. We were a little damp after the shopping excursion.

While we went and got groceries, the rest of the teens and Clint and Randy went into Texas City to do some work that could be done inside since it's been raining.

Please pray for nicer weather the rest of the week. We want to be as helpful as possible and there is lots of outside work to be done. So far, it's been a great first day! Keep up the prayers!
