So I held off as long as possible, but I have finally (FINALLY!) started watching the Office.
People have been telling me for a while that I need to watch the Office and most are shocked to know that I don't. I knew the humor was very dry and very much like the humor I enjoy, but I try to keep my television series watching to a minimum. I already had two shows I was watching regularly (Grey's Anatomy and Lost) and they were even hard to sit down and watch sometimes. So I held off on the Office.
I had watched a few episodes before and had laughed a LOT during them. So I used my fancy torrent thingy (Azureus)to download the first season. Well I accidentally downloaded the British version. Which is actually really fabulous too. So I found the SECOND season and downloaded that. And finally found the US first season and downloaded that while watching the second season... and while watching a few weeks worth of the current season. So things are a little jumbled right now, but I've got the basics down. I now have every single episode on my computer (I ended up having to download a few off of Itunes to fill in the holes of episodes that weren't on any of the torrent sites). My goal this summer is to watch all three seasons in the right order.
So I am very hooked. I'm absolutely in love with John Krasinski the actor who plays Jim Halbert. I can't get enough of his practical jokes and his sweet pining for Pam the receptionist. After last Thursday's episode Pam is my new hero. I think that Dwight is quite possibly the world's best villain (you love to hate him!) and that Michael can't do a lot right, but he loves to try and make people happy... usually while rubbing his own ego. I hate Roy (and don't even love to hate him), love Stanley's happiness of pretzel day, and think that Ryan's got it ROUGH with Kelly.
And so here I am. With yet another show that I absolutely HAVE to watch. Oh well. I figure since it will be a LONG fall without Lost that I can afford another show.
