So after a very embarassing moment at my Lost Crew party a few weeks ago (where I had absolutely NO rememberance of Ethan dying in season one), I decided to rewatch the first two seasons. And just as I started rewatching it, I moved back in with the family I lived with over last summer and fall (the Handley's) and decided that it was time for Holly (their 17 year old) to begin watching as well! So I re-restarted it. We have, as of this moment, finished the first season and are about to find out What Kate Did.
Because of this and because things are a little strange in my life right now (see a previous post HERE from the end of the summer to understand a little better), I've been fabulously overloaded with Lost. And so some interesting things have happened because of this Lost overload.
One of the first things that happened was I had a rather interesting dream where Jack and I were married and the two of us and all our friends all lived on an island. Oh, and I was pregnant. I don't remember a lot of specifics (I was thankfully spared of having to go through "dream labor") but I remember holding the baby and Jack staring lovingly at us and lots of people wanting to see the baby (it was a girl). Well the Bff at one point comes up to me and asks if I want to go on a bike ride. I've got the baby in my arms and I say that I'm sorry, but I have to feed the baby. She is very upset by this and asks if I can bring the baby along on the bike ride and feed it in the process. I'm horrified by this and I made a bit of a snarky comment back at her (one that I feel is inappropriate to share in this venue) and the next thing I know we're all chilling on the floor watching a movie while I feed the baby and Jack, again, stares lovingly at us.
Going on. One of the great things about Lost is the music. Michael Giacchino creates great themes for the show. My favorite being Life and Death. Well I did a little hunting and a LOT of searching on Limewire and finally was able to get a copy of it into my ipod. Now something you should know about this song is that it is very soothing. Beautiful and the absolute PERFECT song to fall asleep to. Something I'm always looking for. So I set my itunes up with a playlist for bedtime (with other great songs like Samson by Regina Spektor and Thomas Newman's Orchard House from the Little Women soundtrack), plugged my ear buds into my ears, snuggled down and got ready to be lulled to sleep by the fabulous Lost song. So I'm chillin'. I'm feeling my eyelids droop. I'm at the cusp of sleep. And apparently the idiot who I got the music from on limewire taped it straight from the show because just as I'm about to fall asleep I hear Jack's voice say, "that's a beautful healthy baby" coming from my ipod. I jumped and almost peed on myself I was so freaked out. Yay downoading music.
More on this, my fascination with YouTube, and a comparison between Ben Linus and Ellsworth Toohey all in upcoming Lost-like posts!

so overload of a TV show = stressed out about life?
It's the other way around. Stressed out about life=overload of a tv show.
