Random Musings (and God's faithfulness)

-I moved into my new apartment and it is FABULOUS! I spent the weekend with my family completely diving into decorating my room and bathroom. They were unbelieveable and went WAY out of their way to make this space my own. They even thought of things like vent filters and extra shelving and such. It was amazing! Let me tell you, Lauren (not me) got a kick out of my family this weekend. They're hilarious and loud and very VERY opinianated. Let me just tell you that the mirror above my bed was a HUGE argument between my Aunt Rhonda and Mimi and Noel... and landed us at Kirklands so that Rhonda could find me something more suitable to put above my bed. Even though I was perfectly content with what I had above it before...

-I cried like a baby when my family left. It was awful. I cried when I left my mom's house on Friday night and then again when Dad, Noel, Taylor, Mimi, and Rhonda left my new apartment on Sunday. I can't really let myself think about it too much because I get really sad (even though I know I'll see them soon, they only live 4 hours away!). Yay being a grown up!

-I am now an official employee of Fort Worth ISD as a substitute teacher. Pending fingerprinting.

-A couple of weeks ago I watched High School Musical for the first time (since everyone kept talking about the sequel) and it was PAINFUL. I totally wasn't into it. Blech.

-Last week I watched High School Musical 2 and actually enjoyed it. I'm embarassed. The music is just FUN and there was a lot more dancing and singing (cause duh, it's a musical) and I actually downloaded some of the music on my computer.

-I got a call last night from a theatre that I auditioned for in April inviting me to come to callbacks for their next show. I had to decline because the commute from Fort Worth to Houston would suck. Still it was really nice to know that they were interested and they told me to contact them when/if I move back to Houston.

-I miss being in Seussical just a little bit. It had a GREAT run and it was good to end it, but I miss going to rehearsals every night. I've got to find some auditions to dive into soon!

-The Office starts in less than a month!!!! Am I pumped? Absolutely I am!

-Becuase I'm the Queen of Nostalgia, I started watching my Lois and Clark dvds. Lauren totally judges me.
