So I'm pooped. Like mega-pooped. And it feels SO good.
I'm lounging in my uber-comfy bed, watching some X-Files, drinking a blue coconut slushy from Sonic and eating sunflower seeds (a strangely satisfying snack), and I GET TO SLEEP IN TOMORROW! I don't have anywhere to be tomorrow. Except maybe a late showing of the X-Files (yes, for the third time, I haven't used my free pass yet!) with Lauren. I can wake up late, watch more X-Files, read a Severe Mercy, spend ridiculously amounts of time on Facebook, shop for Lauren's Birthday Party whenever I feel like it! I'm totally pumped about it all!
In the past two weeks I have been back and forth to Colorado, slept in the woods, climbed a mountain (Antero- for the second time), repelled off a really big cliff, whitewater rafted, bought 7 copies of Breaking Dawn, taught a junior high class on Romans 13, and painted a house. WHEW! Man, Trek alone is a whoopin', but followed right after by Work Camp (painting houses in inner-city Fort Worth)... I honestly can't remember my head hitting the pillow at night.
But what is better than being so tired at night that you can't keep your eyelids open?! Especially because of working for and with the Lord! I love being so tired from a days work that I have no trouble going to sleep. I love that I have a bed to sleep in (oh man I can't explain to you how much I love my bed after spending a week sleeping on the ground), a tub to take a bath in, and a toilet to... well, do toilet things to. And maybe its a combination of the strange eating habits of Trek and the physical labor of painting houses during the day, but I have been STARVING the past few days. Like, wanting a full meal at like 11pm at night, starving. So interesting. I've been so glad that I've been able to pick what I eat the past week!
Hopefully I'll write up a Trek post soon, but for tonight, I'm going to finish my snack, finish my episode (maybe episodes?) of the X-Files, and then slip into a blessedly deep sleep. Toodles!
