Lost According to Lauren: The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham

As always, spoilers abound!

-What I once believed to be a fight of Ben vs. Widmore seems to becoming a fight of Ben vs. Widmore vs. Locke.  Who am I rooting for?  Locke.

-Here's the deal with the above three (and the reason that I'm totally rooting for Locke).  Ben wants the power on the island; Widmore wants power on the island.  They are both in it for themselves.  Neither truly cares about the island except for selfish reasons.  Locke however has shown how willing he is to do whatever it takes to protect the island.  His reasons are completely UNselfish.  Which is why I'm rooting for him.  And I don't trust Ben.  Or Widmore.  I've heard a few people say that they think Ben will come out of all of this looking like a hero.  I don't care who you are, I don't think a hero kills as many people as Ben has.

-What was the deal with the plane landing NEATLY?  I mean, it was supposed to be a crash, right?!  Dee said something interesting though, she took Lapidus seriously when he said he always lands his vehicles.

-And apparently Dee and I got lost (pun inteneded) and didn't realize that the Ajira folks were on the OTHER island.  The one that Jack and Kate and Sawyer were on when they were captured.  And remember how Kate and Sawyer had to slave over the plane runway when they were in captivity?  Could it be for the Ajira plane!?

-And here's a bit of a random question... do the "Others" call themselves the "Others?"  Or do they just call themselves that because the Losties call them that?  Just a question...

-I love that Locke went to see Walt.  Which btw, someone mentioned that there is a theory out there that Walt grows up and becomes Abbadon.  I'm so not sure how that would work.  Particularly when wasn't Abbadon standing across the street when Locke went and said hello to Walt?

-And I think my favorite thing about the whole Walt exchange was that Locke didn't try and bring Walt back.  Thank goodness.  He's a Creepy (capital "C") kid.  *shiver*  I get tears in my eyes when I think about him to much.

-Hurley remains one of my most favorite characters of all time.  And his reaction to Locke=PRICELESS!

-Kate has been just plain MEAN the past two episodes.  I mean, honestly!  What is the deal?  I hate the way she talked to Locke.  Not cool, Katherine.  Not cool at all.

-Is anyone else crossing their fingers in hopes that somehow Helen is on the island?!

-I literally jumped and screamed when Abbadon got shot.  OH.  MY.  STARS.*

-Jack and Locke have the most interesting relationship.  It is so interesting how opposite they are and how tense most of their discussions are.  And it's pretty amazing to know that Jack will finally give into the faith that Locke knows is within him.  And I think that that is what makes it so interesting to watch.  Locke totally knows how faithful Jack can be.  He just needs to take the initial step.  But Jack doesn't want to take that step.  It scares him more than anything in the world.  Man of Science, Man of Faith.

-The whole "Locke Death Scene" was almost unbearable to watch, but as I listened to the scene, I knew the moment that there was a knock on the door that it would be Ben and that Ben would end up killing Locke.  And thus it came to pass.  And it was awful.  I can't believe that they showed as much as they did.  And I really think it was highly unnecessary.

-I still think that Kate, Jack, and Hurley are in a different time period than everyone else.  And I think it's because they didn't bring Aaron with them.

So many questions I have!  So many theories out there!  I can't wait for this week!  It's gonna ROCK!

*"Oh my stars" is dedicated to Bridget who says that ALL the time.  You are precious, and you make me giggle every time!
