Can You Keep a Secret?

I just finished a chick-flicky book called Can You Keep a Secret? Emma, the main character has lots of little secrets that she shares accidentally on a plane to a complete stranger. I was thinking about some of my secrets and some interesting little-known things about me and decided I would share:

1. I clean excessively when I can't control things in my life.

2. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up... and I'm okay with that.

3. I have a figurative tumor that tells me what I can and can't do. It hovers over me and criticizes me and pushes me to do my very best. That tumor is shaped like my mother.

4. I am ridiculously good at waiting in lines. Maybe it's all the training from high school and college waiting for movie after movie or the marathon HP and Star Wars waiting... in any case, while other people always look uncomfortable at the check-outs at grocery stores, I just hunker down and usually grab a magazine. I don't have any problem with it. They'll get to me eventually.

5. The bathroom I share with my roommate has one light switch. That one light switch is connected to the light AND the really loud obnoxious fan thing. This makes listening to music, watching the Today show in the morning, basically anything that is in my room as a form of entertainment to help me wake up impossible to do. And I think it's going to my head a little because I swear I keep hearing my phone and/or my Gmail messager go off... but it's only the whirring of the fans.

6. I haven't had a great first kiss.

7. I LOVE Christmas! I'm obnoxious about it. I love Christmas music and shopping and the candles and the trees. My family has more Christmas movies than any other movie and it is fantastic!

8. I take a bath every night before I go to bed. I usually add bubbles (I have quite a collection from Mr. Bubbles to nice Bath and Body Works stuff... strangely the Mr. Bubbles is the best), I set my jammies out for the night on my bed that has been pulled back, and I get an easy-read book (aka a book that I'm not reading for my ministry) and just soak for like half an hour. It doesn't matter if I get home at like midnight. I have to take my bath!

9. I run to Star Wars music. Specifically the Forest Battle (Concert Suite) from Return of the Jedi. It empowers me!

10. A friend of mine just recently achieved my lifelong dream (being in Phantom of the Opera) and instead of being jealous I can honestly say that I'm so happy for her! She's so talented and the Lord has blessed her in that way and I'm so glad that she is being used in this production! I couldn't be happier!

11. I want to go to grad school. Preferably in Denver.

12. I love really romantic music; not romantic music.
