I am not a gamer...

I know nobody is truly shocked by this statement, but I am not.

What will come as a shock is that I got a Play Station 2 for Christmas. Why? Because I absolutely love Guitar Hero! Why not a Play Station 3 you might ask? This is a question I got asked by many of my friends, particularly my guy friends who like video games. The fact of the matter is that I don't really care how good the graphics are or anything like that, I just wanted something to play Guitar Hero on. Play Station 2's are much cheaper, so I asked for the cheaper one.

And so, I've been rockin' it out (on MEDIUM!) every evening when I get home from work. Sometimes, I play it WAY too much and end up dreaming about the little dots... it's pretty humorous. I love my PS2! I love Guitar Hero!

I also got a Harry Potter Quidditch game and a 24 game to go with the PS2. Now let me reiterate... I am NOT a gamer.

I remember when my brother, Ross, got a Nintendo 64. I was so excited because there was a new Zelda game to go with the Nintendo 64 and I couldn't wait to play it (Zelda: A Link to the Past is my all time favorite game- mostly because it was the only game I could actually play when I was little). However, Ross and I sat down to play it and a few minutes later I started feeling nauseous. I told my dad and he said to lay down for a minute. So I did. Miraculously I felt better! I got up and started playing it again and promptly felt nauseous. We figured out that I get motion sickness playing any kind of game where you feel like you are walking or running. Ugh. I tried to play Halo once and not only got nauseous but thought the game was really boring and dumb.

So I think that everyone was surprised when I asked for the 24 game because it's a 1st person shooter game, but as long as I sit far away from the tv and the tv is really little and I take lots of breaks, I do pretty well. At least as far as getting sick is concerned.

I am TERRIBLE (with all caps!) at this game. I can't quite figure out how to move and make my head move at the same time. The shooting button and the button to talk ("CTU!" "I'm a federal agent!" "Drop your weapons!"), so I usually end up yelling at the hostels as opposed to shooting them. I tend to be either looking at the sky or looking at the ground. I have atrocious aim... it's gotta be entertaining to watch!

I have gotten better, but I don't think this whole gaming thing is really for me...

I'll stick to Guitar Hero!
(And maybe work on the other games a little too...)

I love Guitar Hero too! Although G.P. plays it more than I do. I could never get the hang of any game other than Pokemon though. We used to have a Nintendo 64 and we would push the little sticks so that we were looking at the sky and start spinning around. We don't get motion sickness like you do i guess. We also had a Sega something or another and we had a Sonic game and an Aladin game. We rock
