Remember the time I absolutely ADORED my job? I mean really, I have the best job ever. The kids are amazing, the adults are supportive, and my boss is the best boss ever. Man, I'm so blessed.
I do this funny thing. I give myself incentives. For small things like cleaning my room. Today for instance, I got back from lunch and wouldn't let myself look at the Apple Store until I had straightened up my room. Or I won't watch a television show until I've done the dishes. Is that strange?
It got cold in Fort Worth overnight. What happened to Spring?! My legs are sick of being cooped up in pants! They need to breathe!
Um, so thank goodness for the Stimulus Package we're getting because in like TWO WEEKS I'm getting a MACBOOK!!! Though I'm not sure if I want black or white... what do you think?
The Zone (our youth building) is now UNDER CONSTRUCTION! Man, they started demo-ing it on Thursday and I spent a good amount of time watching. It was like a movie! I'm so excited that it's finally started and that soon we'll be in a brand new building!
Lost was AMAZING on Thursday!
I joined a gym this week and I'm so excited about it! I absolutely love it. It's not a chain like Ballys or 24 Hour Fitness and everyone is really friendly and there's a nice family feel. Plus they offer super-fun classes!
I went to visit the Bff this weekend and it was so relaxing and rejuvunating. We watched Lost and lounged around and basically just had a great time! I also got to see ACU's production of Sabrina Fair! It was so nice to see old friends and it's always uplifting to see Adam and Donna and Mike!
Amy Simpson and I decided that we want to start a theatre at some point in our lives. We want to put on classical pieces and once a year do a musical. Neither of us has ANY clue how to run a business. Anyone want to help us out?
Summer is FAST approaching which means that my busiest time of the year is approaching. Camps, Tuesday Fun Days, Mission Trips, Sleepovers, SYS's... man I've got this energy that has just been lying dormant and waiting for the summer!
Speaking of the summer, have I mentioned that I'm in the VBS musical!? I'm totally pumped about it. We're doing David and Goliath and my friend Jennifer is directing it. Don't worry, I basically got cast as the best character ever: a sheep!! I'm TOTALLY excited. I'm also a townsperson and a Philistine! Plus I get to sing the Circle of Life (as a townsperson) and sing You are the Music in Me (from High School Musical:2) with David (as a sheep). HOORAY!
I may have gotten in trouble at our last rehearsal for David and Goliath... I was talking on stage. Jen said she expected better from me because I have a degree in theatre and all.

Yes. You were a bad, bad example. If I can't depend on you, who can I depend on? Tisk, tisk. (Said as I am shaking my head, and looking down.)
You are a sheep, towns person, Phil. Soldier, soloist, AND Co-director. Basically, you are running the show.
PS-You are a GREAT MINSTER (notice I left out intern). I am so blessed to work with you. Plus the addition of another woman on staff has made me so happy!!!
Henny
I would OBVIOUSLY love to help you guys open a theatre... but I too am lacking in knowledge. Plus I am not as in love with classical pieces as either of you...
If you work with youth groups you might be interested in my blog. It is kind of intense, but I hope people find it useful and informative. No pulling punches. Give it a shot, and God bless!
