I have the greatest dad in the world!
I know lots of people would probably say the same, but he's awesome. He's a golden retreiever. Loyal and kind and absolutely wonderful. He always knows exactly what to say to try and make me smile when I'm feeling low.
He makes amazing jalapeƱo hamburgers. He is the reason I first watched Star Wars (well him and Ross' insistent nagging). He's ridiculously laid back. He loves Disney stuff. Like WHOA loves Disney. He's got a Disney study- complete with a red Mickey Mouse door! He's watches and DVRs the NASA channel and watches any tennis match that is on television.
You know what my favorite thing to hear him say is? Good morning. I don't know why, maybe it dates back to when I was little and he'd pick Ross and I up for school on Tuesday mornings (right after the divorce). But sometimes, if I need a pick-me-up in the morning, I'll call him just to hear him say, "good morning."
After a pretty rough week, he's been a stronghold for me. He's been readily available to talk and just be there with me- even as he's many miles away.
