Well, ladies and gentleman, a few months ago (8 to be exact) Patrick the HP laptop died. It was QUITE tragic. Especially since I (like an idiot) had very little backed up. My motherboard had died. After only owning the computer for a year and three months. Needless to say I was sick of PCs. I was sick of running my virus protection all the time and protecting it from Spyware and Malware and all the other "wares" out there in the big bad evil internet.
So I made a decision. My next computer was going to be a Mac.
Oh I thought about somehow buying a new motherboard, but I was hearing scary numbers from the various places I called about my dilemma. Big numbers like $800 to $900. Numbers that I would prefer to put towards a new computer. A computer that wasn't going to crash. A computer that would be happy.
So when I heard about the Tax Stimulus thing the government, I knew exactly where that money was going towards- my Macbook.
I am proud to say that on Saturday afternoon, I purchased my brand new, refurbished (um, I'm saving several hundred dollars for buying one that isn't brand spanking new), white Macbook. I decided white because I don't need 250gb of space on a hard drive and really... I'm more of a white macbook kinda girl anyway. I mean, it has to match my white Ipod! Wow, I just realized that I'm ALL girl.
And she's going to have a pink home! Well a pink laptop sleeve that is from Incase Designs. I ordered it almost two weeks ago and when I hadn't received it yesterday in the mail, I called up Incase and guess what? Well apparently UPS reported it as "damaged" and then "gone missing"! So whoever stole my broken macbook case, I hope you enjoy it. I'm supposed to get a new one soon. Hopefully I'll have it before Molly gets here.
Yes, I named my Macbook Molly. I think it's cute. Though I was telling Dee yesterday that I'll have to see her before I make any rash decisions on her name. :)
So Molly the Macbook, I hope you arrive soon!
